LocalDelMar is committed to making this guide usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the benchmark commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508.

What we've built in

• A skip-to-content link and semantic header, navigation, main and footer landmarks.
• Full keyboard operability, with a clearly visible focus indicator on every control.
• The Della AI chat opens as a labelled dialog that traps focus, closes with Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
• Live weather, chat replies and form confirmations announced to screen readers.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative art hidden from AT.
• Labelled form fields with autocomplete support and text that resizes to 200%.
• Color pairings tested for WCAG AA contrast, and animation disabled when your device requests reduced motion.

Known limitations

Some information comes from third parties — live weather and surf data, and AI-generated answers from Della. We present that content in accessible markup, but we can't control its wording. Linked city, racetrack and restaurant websites are outside our control.
